New Kontera Employees

Jenna Jorgenson

Jenna Jorgensen grew up in Irvine, CA. and decided to study close to home in San Diego about a month after she graduated from high school. Her first class was ‘Intro to Business Marketing’ and ever since that first class, marketing has become her passion. After two years of enjoying the southern California sunshine, she traded warm rays for Cabernets and moved north to the city of Sonoma in California’s wine country. There she finished her degree, recently completing a B.A. in Liberal Studies, with an emphasis in Business Marketing.

Just a week after graduation, Jenna moved to San Francisco and joined Kontera a month later in the new position of Sales Coordinator. She works on both the Advertising and Publishing sides of the company helping with business development, creating a variety of weekly business reports, and maintaining and categorizing different advertising campaigns and optimizing publisher sites. Jenna is working hard to help Kontera grow and expand its network of advertisers and publishers, and we’re excited to have her on our team.

Scott Smith is a UNIX systems administrator and hails from a rural Missouri town but now calls SF home and loves the dense city life. He likes to listen to loud music and rides his bike pretty much everywhere including company nights out on the other side of town. As a kid, his nickname was “Guy Smiley” (the game show host from “Sesame Street”) because he always had a smile and his hair apparently gets kind of wild when it grows out, which we were finally able to independently verify with this picture.

Scott comes to Kontera after about 10 years in the industry, having had the privilege of working for places such as Hotmail and Electronic Arts. Now he runs the servers that provide the Kontera services. Scott ensures the servers are secure, reliable and he even gets the awesome responsibility of waking up at 3am just in case we need him to look into something. We’ll have to remember to thank him later…

I’m afraid I’m not too familiar with the service but if it’s a similar setup as digg.com, you should be able to submit URL.
