How do you track the referrals? The URL provided in the email does not appear to have a ref ID.

We are very excited with the launch of the “Invite a Friend” program.
Regarding tracking, all the data is saved in your account as you send the emails to your friends. We monitor this data as it is being crossed with data of newly regitered publishers. This is why it is important that “invite a friend” email is sent through your account in the publisher center and does not get passed along with a referral link.

Mika, It would be much better though if you could create referral links to use in blogs and web sites. The refer a friend system that Kontera built isn’t very flexible and is limited to only people you email.
I recommend Kontera enhance this feature which will not only make this program more viral but will bring in more customers and encourage publishers to market it easier.
For example, I was going to write a blog post promoting Kontera and then include a link with my Kontera referral link but it’s just not possible….yet.

Agree with both previous comment. I’m a bit reluctant to invite friends to this program. It sound as if I’m a spammer.
If Kontera has referral program it would be a lot more better
“50,000 page views within 60 days” is some pretty hefty fine print.
Also, is there a way of keeping tabs of people we refer?

I agree - we should all have a direct referall link I don’t like the idea of sending it via email & asking friends to sign up, it would appear like spam. Also 50,000 page impressions is way too much in 2 months I think it should be drastically lowered to something much more achievable. Just my 2 cents..

why not simply give a referral url so that we can post on our website and get referrals, at the same time kontera will also get some positive talking on the net as all i see for kontera is criticisms!
